The Flat - Lexi by Coach

Women often curse the man who invented high heels, but now, we can thank the gay man who invented the flat!

Of course, not all flats are created equal - I've tried on several items of torture disguised as a cute ballet flat so all the rules of trying on shoes before buying still apply.

This flat is Lexi by Coach.  It is unbelievably comfortable.  My friend Teresa described it perfectly as "soft as butter".  It really, really is.

In this warm pewter, it will go with everything in your wardrobe; and, I have to say, the crow in me loves the large, sparkly, shiny detail on top!

For the sale price of $89, it's practically robbery.

High Tide

These were brought to my attention by my good friend because he knows that all things shoe are important in my world... as they should be.

Now, I understand that your first thought might not be "Oh, I must have them!" as was mine, but really, we've all seen heels worn in the most rediculous circumstances, quite often in dangerous places... like slippery fashion runways... so why would one not want a pair of appropriate heels while in a bikini?!

Sadly, these are for exhibit only and not for sale... yet.

But really, don't you kind of want a pair now?

Shoe Review: Adelle by Coach

This is Adelle by Coach. As always, it's classic and feminine but the graphic cutouts give this shoe a look of attitude that, even in soft coral, will kick up the edge on any outfit!

I normally wear a size 8 comfortably with Coach shoes; however, the 8 for this shoe fit much too tight for comfort. I probably would have taken them in 8.5 unfortunately (or maybe fortunately for my wallet!) they did not have that size in stock so I will go back. My friend Teresa bought them in her usual size and finds them to be very comfortable.

The .5 inch platform is wrapped in soft suede, a slender 4.5 inch stacked heel and leather sole. It comes in black, blue, nude and coral.  $218.00

Seeing Red

I have been in search of just the right red shoe. And the Serafina by Anne Klien is it.

It is a gorgeous deep red colour that can be sexy with a pair of jeans or sexy (but very respectable) with your little black dress. The profile is sexy in an elegant, self assured kind of way - no need to bring out ankle breaking stilettos when you have these in your closet.

The heel is 4 inches with a 1 inch platform, and the lightly padded footbed makes it comfortable for an office event or a night out dancing.

 $99.00 from AnneKlein.com

Summer in Pink

As I've mentioned, I'm a girly girl, so you can see why this sandal from Aldos was a must have for me. This is Michaels, a straight forward sandal, with a small block heel, adjustable ankle strap and T-strap with, of course, the flower.

All in soft pink!

For $40, you can't go wrong.

Shoe Review: Nine West, Poolside!

Okay, I've been busy and have let my shoe shopping slide. But, I'm back and ready to catch up!

This week I went back to Nine West; I've seen this sandal all spring but hadn't tried it on yet. The cloudy weather after a few days of sun was depressing today and the fun summery colours were a great reminder of spring and summer and lots of bright weather to come!

I think the name of this shoe describes it perfectly: Poolside. What else could capture summer fun in a shoe?! And it's comfortable to boot! The high heel is made quite manageable with the platform and the heel, while not chunky, is broad enough to make it easy to walk in.

At $140 it's a little pricier than the average Nine West shoe but I personally think it's worth it!
